Playboy Playmate Layla Roberts is a sculpted siren whose lean, angular good looks have kept her busy as a model since high school. The daughter of an Italian father and a Cherokee mother, Layla was born in Kealakekua Kona, Hawaii on October 22, 1974. Her family moved to Mexico while she was still very young, and Layla spent most of her childhood there. At the age of twelve, she moved with her family to Beverly Hills. After graduating from Beverly Hills High School, Layla decided to pursue her goals of acting and modeling. Standing a leggy 5'10" tall and sporting some luscious 36C-24-36 curves, Layla's success in modeling was all but assured. She was signed by the Elite Model Agency and spent the next few years working in print, runway and television shoots. In 1997, Layla wanted to give herself a chance to break into acting, so opted to appear in a Playboy spread. She was named Miss October 1997, and listed her ambition as "to act in the best films of the early 21st century." So far, she's off to a good start, having landed a small part in 1998's 'Armageddon' and the part of Grendel's mother in a 1999 production of 'Beowulf.' Layla continues to work as a model -- but it seems like the best films of the early 21st century may just have to go on without her participation. Her acting skills have never quite matched up with her beauty, but Layla should be just fine. How could someone who lists her passions as 'sex, rock and roll and Strawberry Twizzlers' ever get too bummed?
