Gianna was born in Warwick, Rhode Island on April 5, 1968. She moved out to Los Angeles after graduating from high school to pursue her dream of acting stardom. Gianna met with a bit of success, including a small part in the 1988 film 'Screwball Hotel,' but decided to give her career a boost by appearing in Playboy. She sent in some test pics, and the editors were as flabbergasted as you might expect. Gianna became Miss August 1989 with a pictorial that quickly became a fan fave.
