Accepting that conflicts between humans are inevitable, Olympus maintains its social order by ‘diluting’ its population with special clones known as Bioroids, whose DNA have been altered to suppress extreme emotional states. These Bioroids account for about half of Olympus’s citizens, as well as the top levels of its municipal administration.
