Volume 1 - This is the story of a town called Ronsard, in a small late 19th century European country known as the Grand Duchy of Ebenbourg. Claude was a poor scholar living in England, but is called back to become the Lord of Ronsard by a counselor known as Sophie, Claude's life begins anew with the fate of the city in his hands. But the exiled former lord Eric wants his power back and plans to assassinate Claude. At his new home, Claude meets the lovely maid of the mansion, Mylene. Mylene had a deep relationship with the previous lord, Eric, and begins to have one with Claude as well.

Volume 2 - Claude is burning with passion to restore Ronsard back to its glory. Mean while, in the midst of Eric and Mylene's secret meetings, a plan to take over Ebenbourg by killing the Duke of Ebenbourg and setting up Claude as the conspirator is born. While Claude is taken into custody as a traitor, the automobile carrying the Duke of Ebenbourg nears a bridge rigged with explosions. What will happen to the Duke? What will Claude do? And what is to become of the fate of Ebenbourg?"
